I hope that you received my last report. Since then we have covered St’ David’s day and things pertaining to Wales.
We also had a session with a guest chiropractor. He explained the importance of posture to the children. What can go wrong if you don’t pay attention to how you move, sit and carry things. He particularly stressed the dangers of playstations and remarked upon the warnings in it’s manual that Sony took no responsibility for any damage that you do to yourself using one.
Last weeks session was on graffiti art. It went that well that we will be planning a couple of further sessions next term.
We have also gained some replacements for children who no longer attend our group.
On a separate issue the central organisation has had some successes lobbying parliament over our lost grant and in it’s application for other grants to fund our work. We have been seconded a civil servant for 12 months to help search, identify and pursue other funding. We have also received a grant under the “Children, Young People and Families” (CYPF) grant scheme for the next three years. We have still not made up for the lost grant, but the situation is not as bleak as it was.
